Army Carry Out Raids On Several Popular Bangkok Clubs

The guys in green were joined by the boys in brown for raids on several popular Bangkok nightclubs in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The first venue to get a visit was Thonglor’s Beam in the 72 Courtyard complex on Sukhumvit 55 before they went rolling down Soi 11 to give the patrons of Climax a surprise before hitting the Daawat Restaurant & Night Club a few floors above.

Thai news are reporting the raids were carried out following complaints from the “public” that these venues were operating outwith their permitted hours but beyond that not many details match, such as the number of clubbers who tested positive for drugs, with the number ranging from 1 to 3.

Shisha paraphernalia was also seized but from where wasn’t made clear in any of the four articles I read.

From first hand reports I recieved, clubbers were asked to produce ID and if they didn’t have any they were held until someone could fetch it on their behalf.
I spoke to management at Climax who confirmed the raid adding everything was in order and it’s business as usual tonight.
